Service Description

What to expect: £30 to use up to 1KG of earthenware clay in your session per person, clay cannot be shared. Any leftover clay will be returned to the reclaim bin to be recycled and cannot be carried over to another session. Price Includes: Two hours of studio time, please allow time to clean your workspace and tools at the end of the session. This is a self-led session. Staff will be overseeing the session and are available for help / tips. This is not a teacher led session with a themed project. What you create is up to you! We will have basic technique tip sheets available. Some previous experience in pottery would be useful. If you require full support, please book onto one of our step-by-step tutors led workshops before signing up for these sessions. Full use of our tools. Bisque firing of your projects, up to three items per session – no tiny bits please! Once Fired: Please allow us two weeks, or more for thicker projects, to bisque fire your piece. There is a returning fee of £20 to paint and decorate your fired pieces with our glazes, these will then be dip glazed by us and fired, ready for collection after 7 days. If you have made more than three pieces, additional charges may be made. If you require more than one session to paint, there will be an additional studio fee. These sessions are available term time only. Suitable for adults and teens, no under 13’s will be accepted under any circumstances. Please note, ceramics can sometimes be unpredictable. Cracks, glaze issues are sadly sometimes part of the creative process. Please note, you will need to accept that occasionally pottery will be not perfect. We cannot offer a refund, remake for any issues that arise during the process. We cannot hold unpainted items for longer that six weeks, please book your painting session as soon as possible. All items need to be collected within 6 weeks of their final firing, we are unable to store them any longer than this. You are responsible for remembering to collect your items. Please note, ceramics can sometimes be unpredictable, we cannot be held responsible for any issues that may arise from the process. No remakes or refunds will be offered.
